A Practitioner's Index

The Shop, organised by working tradition.

Four thousand, two hundred and fourteen vetted tools, blends, and books — laid out by Path rather than by SKU, so a seeker can enter the craft through the door that fits the work. Hand-blended in Salem, Oregon by a panel of seven in-house practitioners, since 2014.

Eleven Doors, One Catalogue

Shop by Path

A working tradition is not a SKU type. We have laid the catalogue out the way a working witch thinks — by what she is doing, not by what shelf the thing happens to live on. Each Path is curated by one of our seven in-house practitioners, and every item on it has been opened, smelt, cast, or read before it was listed.

  1. i.

    Crystals

Eight hundred and twelve pieces — clusters, points, palm stones, and the occasional museum-grade specimen — vetted for fracture, polish, and provenance. Each is washed in moon water and rested on selenite before it is boxed.

812 active listings · curated by Practitioner H. Alden

  2. ii.

    Herbs & Oils

Single herbs, ritual blends, anointing oils, and the small-batch tinctures our apothecary blends every Tuesday morning. Sourced from fourteen Fair-Trade partner farms under the 2022 Sourcing Charter.

940 active listings · blended in-house, Salem OR

  3. iii.

    Divination

Tarot decks (Rider-Waite-Smith, Thoth, Marseille, and forty-one indie presses), scrying mirrors, pendulum sets, runes, and ogham staves. Each deck is shuffled once before shipping so it arrives broken-in.

316 active listings · curated by Practitioner M. Quill

  4. iv.

    Spell Kits

Pre-assembled workings for the working witch who would rather not source each ingredient separately. Each kit is hand-built, includes a practitioner-written grimoire page, and is shipped with a free 1-on-1 consultation on orders over $75.

204 active listings · assembled every Thursday

  5. v.

    Candles & Incense

Hand-dipped chime candles in twenty-six colours, seven-day altar candles, dressed pillar candles, and the loose-incense blends our apothecary has been refining since 2016. Beeswax, soy, and palm-wax only — no paraffin, ever.

    388 active listings · hand-dipped on-site

  6. vi.

    Ritual Tools

Athames, bolines, wands, besoms, chalices, cauldrons, scythes, bells, and the quieter tools — offering bowls, libation cups, aspergillums. Iron, copper, pewter, and seasoned hardwood; each tool is consecrated in the Salem apothecary before it ships.

    274 active listings · consecrated on-site

  7. vii.

    Altar Supplies

Cloths in undyed linen and cotton, altar tiles, statuary of the usual patrons and a few of the less usual, offering plates, and the small vessels that turn a shelf into a working surface.

    421 active listings

  8. viii.

    Books & Lore

Two thousand four hundred and ten titles across the canon — Cunningham, Buckland, Valiente, Murray, the academic presses, and the small-run indie grimoires we have been quietly stocking since the shop opened.

2,410 active listings · staff pick shelf weekly

  9. ix.

    Jewelry & Talismans

Pentacles, hamsas, evil-eye charms, runic pendants, and the wearable work of fourteen small jewellers we have come to trust. Sterling, gold-fill, and antiqued bronze; nothing plated to look like something it isn't.

512 active listings · from 14 small jewellers

  10. x.

    Bulk & Coven

Quarter-pound and pound pricing for the practising coven. Herbs, resins, candle blanks, wicking, and the raw materials that make a working circle possible at scale. Wholesale accounts available — write to us.

188 active listings · wholesale on application

  11. xi.

    Gifts & Curated Boxes

Pre-curated boxes for the seeker just beginning, the friend who has read everything, the housewarming, and the bride who has asked for sage instead of silver. Each is hand-packed with a card from the practitioner who assembled it.

    96 active listings · hand-packed on demand

From the Apothecary

Hand-blended in Salem, not dropshipped from a warehouse.

The herbal mixtures, anointing oils, and incense blends that carry the Go2Magick name are made in our own workroom on Tuesday mornings, in batches small enough that the practitioner doing the blending can sign the jar. We do not white-label another supplier's product and put our label on it. We have never done that, and we are unlikely to start.

The panel that vets every SKU before it is listed numbers seven — a hereditary witch, a ceremonial magician, a kitchen witch with a quarter-century of practice, a hedge-rider, a Reconstructionist, a Hoodoo rootworker, and a tea-leaf reader who keeps asking us to stock better teacups. They meet on the first Sunday of the month. The minutes are on the wall behind the till.

Raw material is sourced from fourteen small-scale farms in the Pacific Northwest and the British Isles under the 2022 Fair-Trade Sourcing Charter, which we will send to anyone who asks for it.

For the Newly Curious

Choosing your first Path.

If you are reading this and you have not yet bought your first working tool — welcome. The catalogue is large and the door is whatever door you choose to push. A few notes from the panel that might make the first step feel less like standing at the edge of a swimming pool.

If you came for the candles and the atmosphere. Begin with the Candles & Incense Path. A single hand-dipped chime candle in white or burgundy, a brass holder, and a folded altar cloth is a complete working surface the size of a paperback. It is also the cheapest place in the shop to begin, which is not nothing.

If you came for the books. Begin with the Books & Lore Path. We have opinions, and the staff-pick shelf at the back of the section is rotated every Sunday by whichever practitioner is on the floor. If you can tell us the tradition you keep, we will narrow the list to four titles and ship them together.

If you came because something has been happening and you want a way to listen. Begin with the Divination Path. A standard Rider-Waite-Smith deck and a small scrying mirror will give you two working languages — the visual and the reflective. We will teach you to shuffle both, in writing, in the box.

If you came because you are ready to do a working and you would rather not source the ingredients yourself. Begin with the Spell Kits Path. Each kit is a complete working in a box, with a written grimoire page and the option of a free consultation. Read the page before you open the components. The order matters.

If you are still not sure, write to us. There is a free 1-on-1 ritual consultation with every order over $75, but we will also take a short question by email and answer it on a Tuesday, when the apothecary is closed and the practitioners are at their desks.
